Your Horses Welcome!
Green Valley Farm Bed and Breakfast
Whether you come to relax or come for the local activities, you are sure to find just the right way to past the time. There are a wide range of activities available at the Farm as well as local activities a short distance away.
Hiking and Horseback Riding
Green Valley Farm Bed and Breakfast offers more than 20 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails. There are facilities to keep your horses overnight if you would like to bring them.
There are also two organized trail rides in the area where you can ride your horse from Green Valley Farm to the beach and back, as well as other activities that you can enjoy when you bring your horse.
We are the perfect stop if you are traveling a long distance and would like overnight accommodations with facilities for your horses.
If you enjoy kayaking, access to the Chesapeake Bay is close by. Let us know in advance and we can have kayaks waiting for your use. We can also arrange for a kayaking trip at Chatham Vineyards; this includes a kayak trip, a tour of the vineyard and a picnic lunch before returning to Green Valley Farm Bed and Breakfast in time for afternoon tea.
We are located within walking distance of Chatham Vineyards, and a short drive to Holly Grove Vineyards. Both vineyards offer private tours where you can meet the owners, learn about the growing and processing of grapes, and enjoy samples of fine local wines.
Come enjoy our cooking classes lead by a talented Chef trained at Le Cordon Bleu school in Paris. Cooking classes feature locally grown vegetable and fruits, including those grown on the farm itself.
The Eastern Shore has numerous antique malls, weekend auctions, flea markets and one-of-a-kind shops for browsing to find just the right collectible, piece of furniture or what-not.
Hot Tub and Massages
There is a hot tub available for the use of the guests, and an appointment with a masseuse on the premises can be arranged.
Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and Barrier Islands on the East and the Chesapeake Bay on the West, the Eastern Shore of Virginia has several different kinds of beaches to enjoy. We can arrange beach trips to Kiptopeake State Park, Chincoteague, or offshore to the uninhabited barrier islands.
There are many more indoor and outdoor activities from which to choose. Outdoors, you can enjoy:
- guided fishing outings
- birding walks
If you like indoor activities, there are museums, artist's galleries, and gift shops featuring original items created by local artists. And, of course, you may stay in and enjoy reading a good book or playing games in the living room.
We have brochures for many of the local attractions on-site for your use.
The Eastern Shore is also known for its restaurants featuring local seafood and produce. We have sample menus available for your review and we are happy to make reservations for you.
