Green Valley Farm Bed and Breakfast
150 Year Old Working Farm with Horses

Green Valley Farm Bed and Breakfast is located on a beautiful 85 acre working farm on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. With crops of wheat, corn and soybeans planted on 75 acres, Green Valley Farm has been a working farm for 150 years.

The farm features a huge experimental asparagus bed. Prior to the current owner, the farm was owned by a botanist who was using hybridizing ( cross-breeding) of plants to create asparagus that had longer life.

The asparagus garden that he created over the years is still producing a great crop every year, which is enjoyed by our guests when in season.

In addition to the crops, the farm also has a small orchard with 150 year old pear trees, apples, oriental persimmons, Bartlett pears, and 15 organic fig trees. There is a vegetable and herb garden and a profuse cottage garden with shrub borders intermixed with flowers and roses.

Beautiful Walking Paths Await You

There are 20 miles of walking paths with horse pastures and a pond formed by a stream that turns into the head waters of Hungars Creek. Supervised children may enjoy fishing in the pond.

Horse stables, sheds and a barn round out the farm. Accommodations are available for horse trailers if you are traveling with your horse.

Green Valley Farm operates under a Virginia Eastern Shore Land Trust Conservation Easement (VESLT) and it is in the USDA migratory bird habitat program.

Your Proprietor

Your proprietor, Lynn Allison, has traveled widely and has an extensive art collection located inside the recently remodeled farmhouse. The collection is very eclectic with a mixture of local and international art.

Lynn is an interior design consultant with a new shop opening this spring. She is involved in conservation work on the Easten Shore and is a founding director of the Virginia Eastern Shore Land Trust (VESLT). Lynn and her grandchildren, who occassionally visit, enjoy providing a unique experience to each visitor at Green Valley Farm Bed and Breakfast. She looks forward to sharing her home with you.
